Once again the hills at the Amamoor State Forest resounded to the cacophony of happy campers and music from amplifiers echoing through the treetops. With the main stage and 10 marquees all featuring artists to satisfy the many thousands of music lovers all gathered for the annual pilgrimage to the Gympie Muster. With the drought breaking rain pouring down, dampening the parched farmlands, but not the spirit of the enthusiastic crowd who had travelled from various parts of Australia and overseas to witness what has become, some say, the premier country music event in Australia. The talent of the singers and musicians is nothing short of sensational and to witness the many, many fans in their drizeabone's and umbrella's, standing and dancing in the rain at the main stage, was testament to their appreciation.  Another amazing part of the event was the small army of dedicated volunteers, from various charities, who worked tirelessly on the many stalls providing food, drink and gifts as well as driving the buses for weary revellers and also constantly keeping the showers and toilets clean. Many thanks. These same people, in a short time, will have transformed the campsite and entertainment area back to it's natural forest picnic area, populated by the birds and animals.
