MISSY'S MAKES HER OWN LA STORY!
Missy Higgins will tour several U.S. cities through the Borders retail chain in October to support a limited release of her acclaimed album "On A Clear Night". These shows are intended to help build anticipation for the disc's full U.S. release which will follow in January 2008.

The singer/songwriter has been based in L.A. for the last 2 months doing showcases for film and TV music supervisors. She's also recorded a song for a Cy Coleman tribute album. Last week Missy filmed a special new video for her #1 Aussie hit "Steer" for the Elevate Film Festival which takes place this weekend at the Kodak Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard - the same venue which stages the Academy Awards.

Meanwhile, back at home "On A Clear Night" is still ensconced in the top
15 of the national album charts. The disc is already nearing triple platinum certification for sales of over 210,000 copies. The album's success comes on the back of a second top 10 hit single - "Where I Stood" and the announcement of Missy's "For One Night Only" tour which will roll right across Australia through November and December.

The Perth and Port Macquarie shows on that run sold out last week and tickets are selling fast for the remaining shows. As the tour name implies, no extra shows will be added to this tour. You Am I's frontman, Tim Rogers will be Missy's special guest on all of these dates.

In other tour news, critically lauded group, New Buffalo have just been announced to open all shows except those in North Queensland and Wollongong. Katie Noonan, whose debut solo album recently entered the charts in the top 10, will open the show in Wollongong. Whilst The Hampdens who've recently released their new single 'Generation Y', from their forthcoming album 'The Last Party', will open proceedings in Kuranda, Townsville and Rockhampton.
