- Tamara Stewart from Bob Howe
For Tamara Stewart music isn't so much a "career
choice" as a passionate
compulsion. When she was still a toddler, music grabbed her, swept her off
her feet, and insisted that it was going to determine the shape of her life.
Today Tamara knows exactly what she wants to achieve. She has evolved into
one of Australia's finest and most gifted singer/songwriters. Her roots lie
in the music of great singer/songwriters like Shawn Colvin and James Taylor.
Her songs lie in her heart. She has reached deep into her own experiences,
and with great courage and integrity, found ways of writing and singing
about her life experiences which reach out and connect with her audiences.
To help her bring this vision to her fans Tamara travelled the world looking
for a producer who would share the workload, understand and interpret her
songs; who would give her songs a sense of honesty and hard-edged realism
not a shiny and shallow pop gloss; and, to her surprise, she found her
perfect co-production companion at home in the shape of the hugely talented
Rick Price.
It should have been obvious. Tamara had already worked with Rick. He had
already duetted with on "Here Comes the Rain" and co-written "Simple Things"
with her. Her knew her work, admired her talent, and could bring all his
musical skills to realising Tamara's songs. This time the musical
relationship is complete. Tamara has written the songs, plays acoustic
guitar and sings. Rick produces and plays all the other instruments on the
new album, due for release very soon.

TAMARA STEWART UPDATE!
VOLUME 1- Issue 4
She's a busy girl these days! There is no doubt
that Tamara has enjoyed much success from her debut album 'The Way
The World Is' with chart topping singles and stacks of live shows
across the country as well as TV appearances.. there is no doubt she is due
for a rest!
But she could not possibly find the time to take
a well deserved holiday! She has just started focussing on her 2nd album (for
all those folks who have written into us here at tamarastewart.com a new album
is on the way!) pencilled in to be released around April next year.
"I am loving the writing process at the
moment" Tamara says "preparing for the next album is the new love of
my life!" She laughs
Not only has she been busy writing for her own
album, good friend Beccy Cole had enlisted our Tamara
to write with her for Bec's forthcoming album. The first single 'Life
Goes On' was co-written by Beccy, Tamara and producer Rod
Mc Cormack. It's due for release in the next month or so and will
be included on the Bonus release of Beccy's 'Wild At Heart' album..
Tamara also co-wrote the 2nd single for STARMAKER
winner Kieran Lancini. The song is titled 'All because Of You' and is a
beautiful tribute to Kieran's family.
